Some days you’re the pigeon

The bloke on Pokerzone TV (remember that?) used to say,

“The one sure thing about luck, is it will change.”

Well, since my previous post on running badly, things have turned around nicely. Last night I finally made it back to the top of the UK Sharks Player of the Month table having conceded top spot to the wily Wilywoll a couple of months back.

This was the hand that gave me the chips that made it happen:

PokerStars – £3+£0.30|125/250 Ante 30 NL – Holdem – 3 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3:

Hero (SB): 7,005.00
BB: 6,939.00
BTN: 4,056.00

Hero posts ante 30.00, BB posts ante 30.00, BTN posts ante 30.00, Hero posts SB 125.00, BB posts BB 250.00

Pre Flop: (465.00) Hero has 7hAc

BTN raises to 750.00, Hero raises to 1,750.00, fold, BTN raises to 4,026.00 and is all-in, Hero calls 2,276.00

Flop: (8392.00, 2 players) 3c2d7s

Turn: (8392.00, 2 players) 3h

River: (8392.00, 2 players) 2s

Hero shows 7hAc (Two Pair, Sevens and Threes) (Pre 25%, Flop 82%, Turn 93%)
BTN shows AsKs (Two Pair, Threes and Twos) (Pre 75%, Flop 18%, Turn 7%)
Hero wins 8,392.00

So, bad play rewarded. Thanks Stars!

My victim in this hand was Serring, who has been running consistently badly in these games for a couple of months now. Well played mate, unlucky. But the one sure thing about luck, is it will change. Some days you’re the pigeon, some days the statue!
